Warning! Spoilers ahead for Uncanny X-Men #6!
A classic X-Men hero has been turned into a villain against their will, and the same fate could befall more of the franchise's fan-favorite characters, as Rogue and her mutant squad face off against a macabre new threat in the pages of Uncanny X-Men. In a shocking betrayal, Jubilee is beaten and captured by her former teammates, but their reasoning for their betrayal is more sinister than expected.
Uncanny X-Men #6 – written by Gail Simone, with art by Javier Garrón - shows Jubilee getting ambushed and though she fends off the attack, she is taken down by two former X-Men, Siryn and Blob.
Siryn and Blob are both long-time X-Men, and by the appearance of their inhibitor collars, it is clear the two X-Men’s treachery is far from voluntary. Before Siryn and Blob ambushed Jubilee, Dr. Ellis, the warden of Graymalkin prison, revealed to Siryn that the inhibitor collars they’re wearing are built with an explosive, making the impending face-off between X-heroes a potentially deadly battle.
The X-Men Are Forced To Face Their Teammates, With Terrifyingly Twisted High Stakes
Uncanny X-Men #6 – Written By Gail Simone; Art By Javier Garrón; Color By Matthew Wilson; Letters by Clayton Cowles
Siryn and Blob being imprisoned and weaponized by Warden Ellis is an incredibly dark turn as it poses a deadly threat to themselves and their teammates who they are forced to fight. In Uncanny X-Men #2, Ellis introduces a new version of the inhibitor collar, but instead of deterring mutant abilities, the collar simply causes the wearer’s head to explode. The explosive collars are a truly morbid fate for Siryn and the X-Men held within the prison, and present an even greater hurdle for the X-Men when they take back the X-Mansion which has been turned into Graymalkin prison.

X-Men Reveals the Sickening Secret Behind Its New Sentinels: They're Alive
As X-Men revamps its killer robot Sentinels, Marvel reveals the terrifying new 'ingredient' that makes them deadlier than ever.
The use of this simple device just turned the X-Men’s goal of taking back the X-Mansion into a bloody war as they will be forced to face their teammates and possibly whiteness their friends meet their end due to the collar. Not only will Rogue and Cyclops’ respective X-Men teams be forced to hold back when fighting their friends, but the inclusion of the collars means they could lose more X-Men. The prison also holds several omega-level mutants the X-Men may have to fight, most notably the X-Men’s former Mentor, Charles Xavier.
Rogue And Cyclops’ X-Men Are Set To Collide In An All-Out War As Both Teams Race To Take Back the X-Mansion
Charles Xavier Remains An "X" Factor
Sarah Gaunt, aka the Hag, and Charles Xavier are being held in the prison, and though Rogue warned Ellis not to weaponize mutants, its evident Ellis is doing so already. With Corina Ellis moving forward with weaponizing mutants against their former allies, the stakes have never been higher, especially with the possibility of Rogue and Cyclops’ X-Men teams facing off against Professor X.
