Vanessa Lachey claims Love Is Blind season 9 coming out towards the end of 2025.

While drama is a major component of the reality dating series, viewers can always expect to watch true love blossom as well. Every season ends in at least one marriage, and almost every season has one or more couples that are still together. What dramatic Love Is Blind moments have enthralled viewers on previous seasons, and what new drama can everyone look forward to?

What Makes Love Is Blind Season 9 Unique?

Vanessa Lachey Has Dropped Hints

For starters, Love Is Blind season 9 will be the first time the popular Netflix show heads to Colorado. Specifically, season 9 cast singles from Denver. Love Is Blind is unique from many other dating shows, such as The Bachelor or Love Island, where each season casts people from all over the United States and, sometimes, the world. Love Is Blind chooses one city each season to focus on, which allows couples to continue their relationships after the show without anyone having to move.

The United States is a large country and different cities have different energy. Filming in a new city each season has meant that the cast's values often change depending on the location. Without giving anything away, Vanessa suggested to E! News that filming in Denver gave the show a new vibe from what we've seen in the past:

“Some cities, faith is more important. Some cities, work is more important. Some cities, drinking is more important—it varies. So you can imagine what Denver's gonna be—I'm gonna let you guys write that script.”

Vanessa also told E! News that something happens during Love Is Blind season 9 that has never happened on the show before. This announcement, albeit ominous, is very exciting for fans of the show. Unfortunately, viewers will likely have to wait until October 2025 to find out what surprises will be featured in the social experiment.

Every Season Of Love Is Blind Has New Drama

What Haven't We Seen Before?

It's hard to imagine there could be any surprises on Love Is Blind. After all, the first eight seasons have been filled with drama and shocking moments. On Love Is Blind season 8, Taylor Haag accused her new fiancé Daniel Hastings of following her on Instagram before the show, therefore knowing what she looked like and skewing the experiment. On season 5, Lydia Velez Gonzalez and Uche Okoroha realized they had dated before meeting again in the pods.

In fact, Lydia and Uche knew they had both applied for the show and that there was a chance they would both be cast.

The drama doesn't stop there. On season four, Zack Goytowski proposed to Irina Solomonova over Bliss Poureetezadi, but almost immediately realized his mistake. He and Irina broke up only a few days after their engagement, and Zack proposed to Bliss instead. The two are now married and have a child together.

Love Is Blind has also had its fair share of break-ups and divorces. Matt Bolton and Colleen Reed ended their marriage recently, becoming the fourth Love Is Blind U.S. couple to do so. Ashley Adionser also separated from her husband, Tyler Francis, when she realized he wasn't being honest with her. Viewers watched Tyler tell Ashley he had been a sperm donor, but he claimed he had no involvement in the children's lives. Ashley now believes that was a lie and that Tyler has kids he is supposed to help raise.

What Brand-New Drama Could Love Is Blind Season 9 Possibly Have?

The Previous Seasons Are Hard To Top

While the previous Love Is Blind seasons have introduced plenty of juicy moments, there's still a lot of room for never-before-seen drama. While Taylor accused Daniel of knowing what she looked like on Love Is Blind season 8, she ultimately realized he had never followed her on Instagram and had truly fallen in love with her soul. The undisclosed season 9 drama could be that someone knew what a fellow cast member looked like before the show and, perhaps, used that to their advantage.

Love Is Blind has never featured any celebrities in the pods, and while it's unlikely a celebrity was cast on season 9, it's definitely a possibility. In a similar vein, no season thus far has incorporated a returning cast member. Other dating shows like The Bachelorette and F Boy Island have brought back daters from previous seasons, so it's possible Love Is Blind has taken some inspiration from those shows. Viewers will have to wait and see what Love Is Blind season 9 has in store.
